Owners/Managers
Maria has been a BCBA® since 2016. She completed her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis with George Mason University. She has been a Licensed Special Education teacher in the public school setting since 2008. She ran a self-contained ID program and a self-contained Autism program for 4 years, has worked as a cross-categorical SPED teacher, and has coached self-contained Autism programs staff in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional programming. She is currently supporting school based staff in implementing Tier 1, 2, and 3 strategies to help students become successful in the least restrictive environment. She also creates and delivers school-based and district-wide professional development and training. Maria is an advocate for children gaining competencies in the areas of self-management, executive functioning, and social-emotional health. She is trained and certified in Dr. Greg Hanley’s Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT). She is also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACTr), Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT), behavior analytic play, and social skills programming. Maria believes in being a life-long learner and continues to expand her knowledge and skills with further training in areas which include Relational Frame Theory (RFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACTr), specifically geared towards children, adolescents, and teens.
Chanelle completed her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis with George Mason University and has been a BCBA® since 2019. She has a Master’s degree in Autism Spectrum Disorders from West Virginia University, along with Bachelor’s degrees in Elementary and Special Education from Hood College. Chanelle has been a Licensed Special Education teacher in the public school setting since 2009. She ran self-contained Autism programs for 9 years, and for the last 4 years, has coached school-based staff in K-12 autism programs on academic, social, and behavior programming. Chanelle is trained and certified in Dr. Greg Hanley’s Balance Program, Practical Functional Assessment (PFA), and Skill-Based Treatment (SBT). She continually strives to grow as a behavior analyst by attending continuing education events, participating in training opportunities, and listening to behavior analytic podcasts. Chanelle’s professional interests include: providing compassionate ABA, self-regulation, executive functioning, and functional communication.
Emily has been a BCBA® since 2018. She completed her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with George Mason University. She has been a Licensed Special Education teacher in the public school setting since 2011. She worked as a special education co-teacher in inclusive settings, ran a self-contained ID program and a program for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. In addition to her classroom experience, she was also the subject area lead teacher for staff in the building for 2.5 years. Emily is currently supporting and coaching school-based staff working in self-contained autism programs in teaching communication, toleration, and academic instruction. She has a passion for giving students a voice and a choice in their interventions, which includes trauma-assumed interventions. Emily is trained and certified in Dr. Greg Hanley’s Practical Functional Assessment (PFA), Skill Based Treatment (SBT), and Balance Program, as well as behavior analytic play and social skills programming. She is a life-long learner and educator. She continues to develop her skills by attending conferences, training, and finding any way to consume compassionate ABA research and educate teachers, staff, and parents about those topics. Her plans for further development include expanding her skill set to include Dr. Steven Hayes’ Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).
Social Coaches
Megan became a BCBA® in January 2023. She completed her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis at Old Dominion University. She received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood at West Virginia University and continued her education to receive her master’s in special education at George Mason University. This is her 10th year in education, which includes working as a special education teacher, and supporting teachers specifically with students with problem behaviors. In 2023 she joined the team of Specialized Instructional Facilitators for Behavior where she coaches staff in their use of evidence-based practices and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. She enjoys collaborating with others to support student needs and looks forward to working with your child. She wants to continue learning and would like to grow her understanding in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACTr).
Meghan completed her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis at George Mason University. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Delaware, and a Master’s degree in Special Education from George Mason University. Meghan is a Licensed Special Education teacher in the public school setting and has been teaching for eleven years. She has taught in classrooms of various settings including English as a second language, co-taught in an inclusive special education classroom, and has been running a self-contained Autism program for the past 5 years. Meghan is currently continuing her education in pursuit of her BCBA® and plans to sit for the Board Certification Exam this year. She continues to be a lifelong learner through expanding her education by attending professional development courses focused on self-regulation skills, functional communication, and compassion training.
Cathy has been a BCBA® since 2019. She completed her graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from George Mason University. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in specific learning disabilities and emotional disabilities from George Mason University. In addition, Cathy has a BA in Psychology from Duquesne University and Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Marywood University. Cathy has been employed by Loudoun County Public Schools since 2007 where she worked as a special education teacher in a self contained classroom for students with emotional disabilities. In 2020 she joined the staff of Specialized Instructional Facilitators for Behavior where she supports and coaches school based staff in both the general education and special education settings.
Kathy has been a BCBA® since 2020. She completed her graduate certification in Applied Behavior Analysis from George Mason University. She also holds a Master’s of Science Degree with a concentration in Special Education from Longwood University. Kathy has been a Licensed Special Education teacher in a public school setting since 2008. She ran a Multiple Disabilities program for 6 years, an ID program for 2 years, and an Intensive Autism program until she moved into current role in the fall of 2018. Kathy currently supports and coaches school based staff working in K-12 self-contained programs in academics, curriculum, communication, social, and behavioral programming. She loves to support other educators to expand their knowledge as well as her own. Her professional interests include trauma assumed interventions, compassionate ABA, and ACT.
